SOMOS Conference
To create a fairer and more equitable nonprofit ecosystem, communities leading profound change need better access to funding, resources, and technical support.
Our Co-Director of Communications, Strategy, and Development, Anahí Lazarte Morales, participated on November 9 in a Climate Action and Sustainable Development discussion panel at The Capitol. Fordham University organized the event as part of the SOMOS conference. The panel addressed the challenges and opportunities for distributing resources and investing funds in communities directly impacted by climate change and pursuing sustainable solutions.
We appreciate this opportunity to contribute to the conversation. These forums are essential to advocating for a system that removes barriers and respects the wisdom and determination of communities working tirelessly to transform their reality.
SOMOS Puerto Rico is a biannual conference organized by SOMOS, Inc., a New York-based nonprofit. It brings together legislators, academics, businesspeople, and labor leaders to address the needs of the Latino population.
