More about Taller Lumpen
Taller Lumpen seeks to create the living conditions we deserve as a community and as a nation. It proposes street art as a means to rethink how we interact in public spaces, within the community, and with the environment.
It is developing the first educational initiative in Puerto Rico focused on street art. Its objectives include legitimizing street art as a profession, decentralizing access to education, and reclaiming public space through community-driven artistic expression.
Taller Lumpen is committed to improving the quality of life of the community that hosts and surrounds it, through popular education and self-management. It emerged in response to the lack of opportunities for young people outside the capital, integrating the voices of youth, artists, and local residents. Through street art, it promotes resistance, cultural identity, and collective storytelling.
