La Escuela de Liderazgo Político y Comunitario (La Escuela) is a grassroots initiative led by Black and Afro-Caribbean youth in Puerto Rico. Its mission is to build a transformative movement rooted in anti-racism, popular education, intergenerational dialogue, and collective well-being.

HASER and La Escuela have joined forces to promote the social well-being of communities in Puerto Rico through community-based projects that advance equity and quality of life.

HASER 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship to the project for community development and social transformation.

La Escuela de Liderazgo Político y Comunitario seeks to affirm Black experiences, disrupt systems of oppression, and create conditions for joy, healing, and dignity.

Through a network of popular educators and organizers, they work toward ending racialized harm in everyday practices and institutional spaces alike. They believe imagination and care are revolutionary tools. Their purpose is not only to develop individual leaders, but to collectively reimagine the way power, healing, and knowledge flow within communities, centering youth as political actors capable of sustaining long-term social change.
