A space for collaboration and action.
Social transformations in Puerto Rico are led by communities directly affected by the realities of unfair systems. This space will serve as a site for collaboration and strengthening social and environmental justice movements in Puerto Rico. It is called Edificio Rizoma (Rhizome Building) because it represents interconnected networks, stability, rootedness, and strengthening. It aims to serve as a starting point for building a more just Puerto Rico through collective action, shared purpose, and hope.
CO-WORKING
Open working space with desks, seating areas and high-speed internet.
MEETINGS & EVENTS
Rooms for virtual and in-person events and meetings for 6 to 60 people.
STORAGE
Room to store materials and equipment, especially in times of emergency.
CONVENIENT LOCATION
In Hato Rey, San Juan, steps away from the train and public transportation.

Green & Resiliency Upgrades
Your donation will fund essential renovations, eco-responsible upgrades, and the infrastructure needed to provide a safe, sustainable, and fully equipped multipurpose center.

Programs & Services
Office space, co-working areas, meeting rooms, internet connection, office equipment and materials, secure storage, event spaces, a cooling garden, and a communal kitchen. Your contribution will also fund services such as media production, capacity-building, disaster preparedness, and transportation.

Ensure long-term sustainability and adaptability by contributing to our unrestricted fund. Your support will replenish vital financial resources, allowing us to meet emerging needs, sustain operations, and enhance our ability to respond to evolving challenges effectively.
A space created through collaboration
Edificio Rizoma is the result of a strategic collaboration between several organizations: María Fund, Institute for Research and Action in Agroecology, Amigxs del M.A.R., and HASER.
